Thank you so much for doing this AMA! OITNB is such an amazing show, and you play my favorite character. I've worked as a mental health therapist in a jail and state prison, and you portray mentally ill inmates in such a captivating (not to mention accurate) way. My question is how you're able to channel your character in such a powerful light? You deserve all of the awards and then some!

And also the fact that I could go into the camp and walk out and nobody shot at me, that feeling of being free was very, very reassuring.

This gave me chills.

I don't have a question, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! My dad and I were able to bond over our mutual love for watching Buffy during my horrible middle school years. And even now as a 28-year old woman, I'm able to visit my father and watch Buffy reruns and it is just the coolest thing. So thank you for the memories! You're awesome.

You are the absolute best. Thank you for responding to me. I think it would've been pretty simple to portray Suzanne as "crazy", but you took it another step further. The mentally ill population isn't one-dimensional and are instead, pretty multifaceted. You definitely "get it" and kudos to you for playing Suzanne so well! You had me in tears this season and I can't wait to see where you take her for season three.
