Now that you are a doctor and have gone through all the hoops to get there, would you do it again? Do you feel you made the best career choice? I ask because I know it's not easy to be a doctor.

Does your job impact your relationships? I know sometimes when I have a really bad call/case it can be pretty difficult to come home and listen to a significant others problems that day. lol

That's great encouragement. I am doing my premed courses now. All I want is to be a doctor! Your childhood sounds just like mine as well! Some doctors I talk to here in the states say they would never do it again. I wonder if this is because they just didn't know exactly what they were getting into? Congrats on achieving your childhood dream! It seems like that is rare. Also I am glad there are doctors that have the heart to work with children. As an EMT I feel pediatric patients can be the hardest sometimes. They don't explain what they feel as an adult would and a lot of times will not say anything and let the parents do the talking for them. You have to earn their trust and it is easy to lose. I look up to emergency pediatric doctors.
