Which superhero do you wish you could portray and why?

Dr. Kelsky,

Have you ever heard of someone leaving academia for industry/altac and then returning to the tenure track? What would it take to make the transition back?

I'm in the humanities and working in a field completely unrelated to my degree. I haven't kept up with publishing, mostly because I don't really have an academic affiliation to use.

Should I ask my current employer (a university) if I can use their name to publish?
