Yes, that is true. There are half-dozen states like that (Arizona is another, I believe) where they legally can't restrict alcohol sales to just members only. California really does not abide by making it difficult to obtain alcohol (I used to host summer interns from all over the country and many were blown away by the fact that you could buy hard liquor at the grocery store or gas station... I never really thought anything about it, lol).

As foster parents, how do you feel about the stigma that the system holds? Many people automatically assume foster care = abuse, neglect, and lack of affection. How do you combat that or do you just ignore it?

I think what you've accomplished is amazing, I truly do! But with your post-Biggest Loser life/career being dedicated to evangelizing fitness, competing in events, etc, you may not have had the same chances to lapse back into old habits as non-winners who went back to a relatively 'normal' life (though I'm sure you see temptation every day).

Do you keep in touch with any of the non-winners who have gained some weight back? What advice or support do you give them (or anyone else who has lost a lot of weight) as they move away from the hardcore 24/7 approach to fitness and have to fit it in around 9-5 jobs, money/life stresses, motherhood, etc?

Congratulations on everything!

I wish they'd answered this, but honestly I think the answer is a combination of "we still don't know yet" and "it depends". I ate tons of eggs and egg products during pregnancy and breastfeeding. And he still reacted to eggs at 6 months-ish, which is pretty early exposure. But he did not react to my continuing to eat eggs and breastfeed, nor did he react to egg cooked into other foods (like bread, pancakes, etc), and I was encouraged to continue doing each of those things. Each case really seems to be different. Luckily, my son just challenge tested out of the allergy at 19 months. A friend's son just tested out of his peanut allergy at 4 yo. Some people never do. It's a really wild field of study and really difficult to draw firm and universal conclusions, it seems.

you wouldn't do it if you weren't getting paid

Shit, that's an ugly sentiment. Hate to hear that anyone (let alone multiple) people have said that to you. Good luck with everything, sounds like you and your SO are in this for the right reasons.
