What's the mentality behind your sexuality being an identity/culture? What I mean is, what makes a person decide to call themselves a "queer touring poet" instead of a "touring poet?" Why not pick any one of the other traits you were born with and have no control over? "White female touring poet," maybe? What about "5'10''(or whatever height you are) touring poet?"

And am I wrong in thinking that with regards to the movement for society to view all sexualities as normal, healthy, and otherwise simply commonplace just as heterosexuality is, the LGBQT community is the #1 biggest hindrance to the achievement of that goal?

Seems like the sooner that the LGBQT community stops treating their sexuality as a particularly extra-ordinary subject of identity, politics, culture, activism, and so on, the sooner the rest of the world will, too.

The statement "I'm gay," in a truly equal world, should be just as boring, banal, and innocuous as "I'm straight" is today. No one fiercely embraces "straight culture", cause no one cares. If equality is to be truly reached, shouldn't homosexuality be the same?

And if so, do you feel there's a possibility that you're hindering the cause with this kind of specific identifying that you're doing with it?

I'm an "artist". I'm not a "tall, straight, white, blond artist." So why, specifically, do you figure yourself to be a "queer poet?"

Eu não sei no qual rio você mora; mas eu gostaria muito saber de um xamã sobe a agua no rio negro. Eu sei a ciência da agua, sei o que faz a agua negra, sei qual materiais existem na agua. Me diz, a agua tem qualquer significa spiritual, ou qualquer efeitos no corpo ou alma que somente os índios sabem?

Eu amei, completamente amei nadar no Rio Negro, e eu me senti muito bom, muito saudável depois de passando tempo na agua. Por favor, me diz o que é tão especial quanto a agua naquele rio.
