I heard somewhere (not on reddit believe it or not!) that stuff that goes on your glans can get absorbed into your blood stream really fast. Maybe this could be the problem, that some of the semen is actually getting into your bloodstream and having an effect?
Not a doctor, and not sure if it is 100% true, but worth checking it out!
