I took the July 2015 Texas Bar and failed by a narrow margin. I'm pretty good with the essays, but the MBE killed me. I've never been that great at multiple choice and I get tricked easily. Had I gotten maybe 8-10 more MBE questions right, I think I would've passed. I already know that I have to change my approach for Feb. 2016 if I want to get better results. This time I will be focusing much more heavily on the MBE.
What's your plan of attack for getting good at the MBE and especially tackling those tricky questions they throw at you?
What would be a good study schedule for me/when should I start studying? I feel like now is a little too early and I don't want to burn out. I'm also employed (but will be able to take a little time off to study).

After watching Six Feet Under and Dexter, I came to realize that while David Fisher and Dexter Morgan are very different characters, they have some similarities as well. For example, a major character development point being both characters' journeys toward self-acceptance; both characters striving to do what would have pleased their fathers.
So, did your portrayal of David in SFU affect how you approached portraying such a unique character like Dexter? Do you see any of David in Dexter, or vice versa?

Professor,
We've already seen the negative effects of science denial today, how it impedes progress and wastes time as we work together to fight a given problem. In your view, what will be the most concerning issues facing Western society in the near future? In the fields of science education, and general higher education? As someone living in the US, where science denial remains a problem, what more can we do to fight this problem?

As a native Texan, thank you for what you do. I love my home state so much (I'm in CO now) and hate how it's being run by the extreme right-wing nutjobs. I think it's a real shame that pushing creationism in schools and denying global warming has become the norm in the Republican party, and anyone who is against pushing it in the schools is perceived as a "liberal."
Anyway, questions!
Did y'all get involved a couple years back with the Don McElroy fiasco, where he tried to not only push creationism, but also push some revisionist BS in history books?
I think it would be a good idea to get universities involved in this (I graduated from Texas A&M, and we have a great science department). Any legitimate university's science department would obviously be against the creationist agenda. Have y'all done anything as far as working with state universities and possibly getting support from professors?
How is the support for both your movement and the creationists in the SBoE, from the people in the state government? I imagine Rick Perry is all for the creationists.
Please let me know any more ways I can help out! Thanks!
