I fucking love The Inbetweeners and have been looking forward to the second movie for a long time. I am a relatively young comedy writer working in Canada.

What skills were you surprised to find you would need in order to successfully write and produce?

Are there any projects that you were unable to generate interest in, but that you still think you'd like to do down the line?

Do you find that you have to sit down and brainstorm new show/film concepts, or do they just sort of come to you (and then get honed and built up deliberately)

How much of The Inbetweeners changed from when the pilot script got approved, to when the first season had finished production? In particular, I'm curious how you adapted to what worked/didn't work, and adjusted characters to fit the actors (or chose not to).

Thanks!

You can. Just start writing. Keep writing and get better. Show it to friends and get feedback. Then keep writing some more. Then show it to more friends. Start a blog. Take an internship at company that writes the kind of stuff you like. Keep going. You will get better and better over time until eventually you are a writer.

Jen, I know my life is a lot more fun when I am being silly, but I seem to get stuck in my head, and feel very anxious about making myself feel vulnerable or appear foolish.

I know from your appearances on the Todd Glass Show that you are a master of silliness, so I was wondering if you had any advice on how to let go and just goof around.

Thanks! I do feel like I'm overly concerned with how I am perceived sometimes, so I think I just need to lighten up a little and more focus on having fun.

I love The Indoor Kids! I really like the playfulness and security that you and Emily have together. What are some of the keys to maintaining what seems to be such a healthy relationship?
