As for the colors question, I suppose it just comes naturally to us. For example, I am currently eating a salad with green leaves, yellow and white cheese shreds, and white ranch dressing. It's all in a shiny transparent (no color) glass bowl. I don't even have to think about what colors I'm seeing; I guess that is just because I've lived 20 years of life taking color for granted.
