So no spoilers, I just want to know if this world will exist or have other stories set in it beyond the third book.

I have performed this experiment already, the problem occurs that even if you are laughing, once one of the individuals gets into the actual fucking motion the other person calms down and starts moaning, maybe if you used something like laughing gas or something you could keep it going.

I had a similar problem but for me it got better with repeated sex, which while boring at first eventually got a lot better, it also gets better for me when I stop masturbating as much. I have figured out that if I want to hold out longer than I can start thinking about other things, if I want to finish then I just blank my mind out and focus on the sensation or the concept of the act I am participating in.

As an added story this actually made my first time something really memorable for the other person as it was pretty much a 4 hour ordeal for me. (I thought Sex was terribly overrated at that point.)
