I'm not sure the facts support your case. There are 24 billion barrels in bakken, but only 7.4 billion recoverable, 3.3 billion in the atlantic, half a billion in the gulf of mexico... Basically, 26.5 billion in reserves compared to 112 billion for Iraq. We have a quarter of their reserves spread over 6 diverse sites, ranging from -60f prudoe bay to 6000 feet beneath the gulf of mexico to trapped in shale 2 miles below north dakota. Iraq has 4 times the oil technically easy to access but not politically easy.
