I think they just disagree with your interpretation.
FWIW I personally think the 2nd Amendment applies to individuals, but they aren't abdicating anything.

Jets fan here, and thanks for answering the Tebow question below. But I have a few follow ups to it:
How involved was Rex in that decision? The owners?
Do you have any insights into why Sanchez was kept in for so long? It looked like Rex was resentful of having Tebow and refused to start him as a "fuck you" to the people who brought him in (you mentioned Brad Smith, but he was never a starting prospect. Tebow was a starter in Denver). Is this remotely accurate?
What do you think the relationship SHOULD be between a GM and the head coach? Ultimately who does, and who should, get the final say on the roster re "talent/need"?

Isn't it also completely outside of the context of what the ACLU does?
In fact, on the media wouldn't their position almost always be free speech, so while the attorneys may agree about Media Influence it doesn't make what the media is doing illegal nor does it mean the ACLU should run around condemning it.
