The RNC does not really get involved on that level, but prominent agents do.
Rove is involved with Perry, Bush, and Walker. Walker and Cruz both have clear alliances with the Kochs. Since Walker is a rare candidate agreed upon by both sides, I think even if he loses the primary he will run for VP.
