I think you have to differentiate. During the Holocaust, the victims of it mostly where killed because of the wish that everyone of them has to die. The deaths in the North-Korean Camps have completly different motives behind it. EDIT: And the important point, why you have to differentiate is, that you have to analyze gross human rights abuse correctly and precisely to prevent them from happening in the future.

First, thanks for doing this ama! Hummus is the shit of gods! When i was in Israel last year i ate tons of it, mostly with falafel (any falafel in Iraq?)! But a more serious question: since you said you are teaching many kurdish kids, mostly from wealthy familys, how present is the "kurdish conflict"( Sounds stupid, dont know how to say it)? I mean the fight against repression on kurdish organisations and so on.. Hope the question is specific enough(sorry for grammar failures, if there are any)

Dude, check out the racist-ideology of the NS-regime. Their goal was to annihilate all jews. There were pogromes all over Germany already before WWII began.
