Well Copernicus is for very specific users in the humanitarian community, not so much the insurance companies. I have used Copernicus several times in the past for humanitarian work and the accuracy is indicative, at best.

Yeah, there are a number of exciting space start-ups. You guys with optical imagery and a number of new SAR constellations come to my mind. Much lower revisit times and higher resolution data. Not to mention the near things happening with machine learning to create improved and derived products. The problem I have seen frequently is that the people who could benefit from this tech rarely care to understand it and dismiss it as "too technical".
