How does a writer who's confident in his work find the right new filmmaker to pair work together with? What would you say are the most important qualifications of your field, to someone on the other side?

People who've come out of Troma, all the overnight sensations you might have heard of, James Gunn, Eli Roth, Trent Haaga, etc have all spent the better part of a decade writing and sending out script after script after script.. so keep writing and the filmmakers will find you...

That's a good question. If you read my books you'll see that sometimes enthusiasm and loyalty to the project outweigh talent...at times. Remember to make a Troma movie you have to sleep on the floor and defecate in a brown paper bag...so Robert DeNiro isn't exactly begging to be on our set. He prefers to defecate in plastic bags.

Eliminating the cost of film vs digital, which do you prefer?

Well, I up until the premiere of "Return To Return To Nuke Em High Vol. 2" tomorrow in Philly and next week in LA, I preferred 35mm but now that these babies are out in the world, I think the Alexa is better than a 35mm film camera.
