What did you study in undergraduate? Is this the job you've always wanted?

I studied international relations
And yeah, it's pretty cool, but I didn't think I wanted to work in public health until I realized the MPH was a very versatile degree

My girlfriend's mom works for a big university health office. Just the other day she was discussing how these kids come at 18, 19 years old and have already developed resistance to some antibiotics. Are scientists seeking different alternatives for antibiotics, or are they just making different strains of amoxicillin and penicillin? I don't know a whole lot about antibiotics or medicine in general so sorry if it was a dumb question.
